Rules
outbid.dubai is a public leaderboard for ambitious businesses. No mystery algorithm. No hidden ranking factors. Your bid determines your place.

01
How ranking works
The bid is the rank.
- All prices are shown in UAE dirhams (AED). A new listing starts at AED 50 minimum; the maximum accepted bid is AED 999,999.
- Claiming the overall #1 position requires a bid at least AED 50 above the current leader. Bid less and you still appear at the highest position your amount can take.
- You can enter your own amount. The + and − controls move by AED 50, but you are not restricted to those preset steps when typing a bid.
- Higher confirmed bids rank first. If two listings have the same confirmed amount, the listing confirmed earlier keeps the higher place.
- Enter the same complete website or profile URL again to raise its existing listing. A listing belongs to the submitted destination; another business cannot acquire your identity by copying your name.
- Category rankings are calculated separately. A business can be #1 in Real Estate while holding a different position on the overall leaderboard.
- App Store, Google Play, GitHub, and comparable product-platform pages are identified by their meaningful URL path. Tracking and referral query parameters are removed.
02
What you can list
Real businesses. Real destinations.
- List a genuine business website, product, startup, professional brand, or complete public profile URL relevant to Dubai or the wider UAE. A standalone @username is not accepted.
- Use a destination that accurately represents your business. Misleading names, impersonation, fake endorsements, or deceptive landing pages are not accepted.
- Direct chat links and group invites are not eligible, including WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Messenger, Signal, and similar services. Link to a proper public website or profile instead.
- Adult content, sexual services, exploitative material, and destinations that are inappropriate for a public, Dubai-focused audience are not allowed.
- Affiliate links, tracking parameters, referral codes, link shorteners, and redirect chains may be removed or normalized to their final public destination.
- A listing must not distribute malware, request sensitive information deceptively, or send visitors to suspicious payment or credential-collection pages.
03
Dubai-first business standards
Respect the city and the audience.
- Advertisers are responsible for ensuring their business activity, promotional claims, and online presence meet applicable UAE and Dubai requirements.
- Businesses in regulated sectors — including real estate, financial services, investments, healthcare, education, and tourism — should hold any licenses, registrations, or promotional approvals their activity requires.
- Claims about guaranteed returns, medical outcomes, property availability, official government relationships, or limited-time offers must be accurate and supportable.
- Gambling, illegal goods, counterfeit products, prohibited substances, and other activities incompatible with our platform standards are not permitted.
- Respect UAE cultural expectations. Content that is hateful, harassing, discriminatory, excessively explicit, or disrespectful to religion or community values may be rejected.
- Do not publish another person’s private contact information, confidential records, or personal images without the necessary permission.
- Displaying a UAE flag, authority logo, or official-looking endorsement must not create a misleading impression of government affiliation.
04
Categories
The right audience matters.
- Choose the category that best describes your listing: Restaurants, Real Estate, Car Rentals, Brands, Companies, Startups, or People.
- Each category has its own leaderboard, while every eligible listing also appears in the overall ranking.
- We may review or correct categories when a listing is clearly misplaced, misleading, or designed to avoid competition.
- If your business genuinely belongs in a different category, contact the outbid.dubai team with your listing URL and the requested correction.
05
Bids, payments & visibility
Transparent by design.
- The current experience is an interactive MVP. Live payment processing may be introduced later; no live transaction is represented as completed unless checkout is actually enabled and confirmed.
- Once payment functionality is available, a completed and confirmed payment — not an unfinished checkout — will determine an eligible listing’s paid position.
- Your listing, rank, bid amount, category, and submitted public destination may be visible to anyone who can access the leaderboard.
- Any payment, cancellation, or refund conditions will be presented at checkout when paid features are introduced. Do not assume a payment policy that has not yet been published.
- A higher rank is visibility, not a promise of traffic, sales, leads, investment performance, or business results.
06
Moderation & responsible conduct
Competition stays clean.
- We may review, decline, hide, or remove listings that violate these rules, appear fraudulent, misuse another brand, or present a risk to visitors.
- Automated spam, duplicate identities, artificial click generation, misleading bid manipulation, and attempts to interfere with the platform are not allowed.
- A paid position does not override moderation. Eligibility and platform safety remain separate from bid amount.
- These rules may evolve as outbid.dubai develops. The current published version applies to new participation.
